Day Snow Camp for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

February 18 – 19, 2017

Oregon Adaptive Sports is hosting its fourth annual day snow camp for young adults (age 13 to 20 and/or currently attending high school) who are deaf and hard of hearing.  Beginners to advanced riders/skiers regardless of communication mode, we welcome all!  This program will be facilitated primarily in America Sign Language (ASL) and spoken language will be provided.  Its all about building one’s skills, making new friends, enjoying the white wonderland and celebrating who we are.  Thanks to the support of talented deaf athletes and Deaflympic athletes, we will shred the slopes!

The day Snow Day Camp is offered at a daily discounted rate of $85 per day including lift ticket, equipment rental and one-on-one instruction from a trained volunteer coach who is fluent in ASL within a larger group setting.  Lunch is provided for campers this year.  There is also an optional roundtrip shuttle from the town of Bend to the mountain on both days for an additional $5 fee/day.

Register for one day or two days!  Space is limited for this event, and you must register by submitting the online Participant Information Form by clicking the button below (be sure to select Snow Camp for DHH).  Once you submit your form, a staff member will follow up with you shortly.  Registration deadline is Friday Feb. 10 but apply early as we may fill up quickly!
