OAS Heroes Veterans Ski Weekend 2022!

OAS is excited to provide two full days of adaptive skiing at Mt Bachelor for Veterans and Active Duty service members. Come enjoy the benefits of outdoor recreation and the thrill of downhill skiing in beautiful Bend, Oregon. OAS will provide two days of lift tickets, state of the art adaptive equipment (if needed), certified instruction, and trained volunteers.

Accessible lodging will be provided both Friday and Saturday nights, and we will hold an informal reception on Saturday – an apres-ski pizza party at the hotel! On-mountain lunch will be provided on the ski days of Saturday and Sunday.

Participants will be responsible for all transportation to Bend, and meals while they are here with the exception of lunches Saturday and Sunday, and dinner Saturday night. There is a complimentary breakfast served at the hotel both mornings. Transportation will be provided to and from Mt Bachelor from the hotel Saturday & Sunday.

This year’s Heroes event is a COVID adapted version with a max capacity of eight Veterans. Based on grant funding, OAS is prioritizing participants of greatest need who face the most obstacles to accessing the mountains with preference to individuals who have never participated with OAS before. OAS will not be supporting lessons/experiences for family members in 2022.

Please review OAS COVID policies and athlete safety information prior to applying to participate.  All OAS athletes, volunteers, and staff are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED FOR THIS EVENT. Please contact Program Director, Leah Persichilli at leah@oregonadaptivesports.org or (541) 639-4470 if you have questions!
