Ride Details:

The McKenzie Pass Scenic Bikeway is a seasonal highway, only open to cars in the summer months when the high elevation snow has melted and the roads have been cleared. In late spring, enthusiastic cyclists take advantage of the partially plowed roads to ride the pass while it is still closed to vehicle traffic.

This is an advanced ride. Participating cyclists are experienced riders who have been actively training for strenuous rides. Cyclists must be comfortable climbing uphill for up to 3hrs, can manage stable and safe speeds on long descents, and are comfortable riding in variable weather conditions. Two ride options are provided for varying styles of riding and equipment.
