This sport-specific training is led by Nancy Stevens, contracted by OAS. You will learn how to captain a tandem bike with a set of communication commands, proper tandem usage and riding techniques.  This training is geared towards captaining a tandem with folks who are blind or visually impaired but can be applied to all tandem riders.

Please bring with you:

  • water,
  • snacks if desired
  • helmet
  • close toed shoes
  • sun protection (sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, etc…)
  • dress in layers in case it is chilly in the morning.

Prerequisites: Intro to OAS Orientation, Summer Program Assist (or comparable) + VI Guide Training
