DESCRIPTION:Turns & Berms is coming back for year 5!\n\nIn partnership with the Kelly Brush Foundation\, this fan-favorite camp lets participants experience the best of Central Oregon: skiing AND mountain biking in one unforgettable long weekend. Think corn snow in the morning\, dirt trails in the afternoon\, and great people all day long. \n\nApplication open: Monday 2/9\nApplication close: Friday 3/6\n\nWhat to expect: \n\n2 mornings skiing at Mt. Bachelor\n3 afternoons mountain biking around Deschutes National Forest\nInclusive\, supportive environment\nThe heart of this camp is community. Learning may happen naturally\, but instruction is not the focus.\nFun community meals\nExperience the multi-sport magic of springtime in Central Oregon!\n\nAgenda:\nThursday | 5/7: Arrive in Bend. Afternoon bike checks. Evening welcome celebration. \nFriday & Saturday | 5/8 & 5/9: Ski in the morning\, bike in the afternoon\, dinner in the evening. \nSunday | 5/10: Brunch & Berms! \nMonday | 5/11: Goodbye! \nEligibility:\nThis camp is open only to individuals who meet all of the following criteria: \n\nMust reside in the United States\nMust have paralysis caused by an acquired spinal cord injury\nMust be an independent skier at a minimum of advanced intermediate level. A video of you skiing is required to upload with your application.\n\nNOTE: This requirement will be held firm this year. There is simply not going to be any Green terrain available to ski in early May. It will be upper mountain only\, which includes challenging Blue to Double Black Diamond Runs.\n\n\nMust own and bring your own ski equipment\nMountain bike eligibility is flexible! Adaptive mountain bikers of any level are welcome and you do not need to own your own bike or equipment\n\nParticipation options:\nAll participants must apply and indicate participation type(s) on the application. \n\nSponsored athlete (spots are limited!).\n\nIncludes up to $500 travel reimbursement (flight\, gas\, train\, rental car)\n3 or 4 nights’ stay at Best Western Premier Peppertree Inn in Bend (depending on departure day)\n3 days of breakfast\, 3 lunches\, and 2 dinners.\nAll trail passes and lift tickets will also be included.\nPlease let us know if there is any other equipment you might need outside of your ski rig or off-road handcycle.\n\n\nSelf-Supported Non-Local Athlete.\n\nNo travel reimbursement.\nAble to pay for own lodging within our discounted room block.\n3 lunches and 2 dinners with the group are included.\nAll trail passes and lift tickets will also be included.\nResponsible for own transportation\, logistics\, and equipment needs.\n\n\nLocal self-supported athlete.\n\nBend local.\n3 lunches and 2 dinners with the group are included.\nAll trail passes and lift tickets will also be included.\nResponsible for own transportation\, logistics\, and equipment needs.\n\n\n\nReturning participants: \nIf you have attended Turns & Berms before\, please know that we are only able to process your application as a self-supported athlete\, so we can reserve the sponsored positions for new individuals. \nHow to apply:\nComplete This Application: \n\nApplication open: Monday 2/9\nApplication close: Friday 3/6\nAll applicants will receive a decision via email the week of March 16\nRemember!
